A Stanage circuit

A short walk in the Stanage Edge bowl.

Park in the Peak Park car park near North Lees below Stanage Edge.
Leave the top side of the car park follow the path towards the plantation and beyond up onto the top of Stanage Edge, close to where Long Causeway, and ancient byway passes over the edge.
Having expended much energy climbing to the high ground, now follow Long Causeway west and south to descend to the cattle grid and the road near Dennis Knoll.
Take a left along the road then right to follow the eastern side of the wood and head south down Sheepwash Bank, before picking up the path that takes you through the yard of Green's House.
Pass through heading east and follow the path before passing above North Lees hall and onwards to come out behind the toilet block just along the road from the car park.
